Back in 2019 I posted about my reconstruction of the wrecked ship that sits outside of the
cantina in Mos Eisley. Here's an update on that.
I created the model from a perspective match of
the film set to get the proportions and scale. Later I came across a sketch that
was drawn by Star Wars production designer John Barry, which showed what
the full ship might be shaped like. I detailed the rest with my
library of greebles built up over the years creating other Star Wars
ships, and painted it up a bit like the Falcon filming model.
Sharp eyed observers might spot big Q-shaped logo on the side, this is my homage to the Pirate Ship concept model by Colin Cantwell
